If you go to a psychic hoping to get a fixed answer about what’s going to happen to you, you’re asking the wrong question. Any psychic that gives you a fixed picture of your destiny is at the least misguided and at the worst a charlatan. The point though, is not the psychic’s motive, the real question is why would one person look to someone else to tell them what’s going to happen to them?
The understanding of the psychic’s purpose must be changed in our common culture. A good psychic or intuitive intervention uses wisdom, energetic presence, intentionality, and clairvoyance to illuminate the path that you have been on, are currently on, and are heading towards. Most people’s questions are telling. They are future-focused and concentrate on life aspects of importance to them. Within each question is usually a fear or desire that is allowed to be spoken, or half-spoken, to the psychic. When a person goes to a psychic, they want to know what happens next in their lives, to assuage their fears of what life may bring, or to try to control seemingly unpredictable situations.
From my experience, being psychic or intuitive involves connecting with a pure intention to help a person see their blind spots. Those blinds spots can be hopes, or they can be warnings, but they are hidden to or ignored by the questioner. When a person asks me to do a tarot or intuitive reading, they ask me what’s going to happen to them next. I often need to change the conversation from what’s going to happen to them to what they can do to encourage their desired outcome. Another source of information for me is the fact that they are asking me, instead of communicating directly with their own wisdom, spiritual guides, or connection to the divine or universal energy source.
What I have come to realize is that if they are asking about their future, they are needing reinforcement to go after what they really want, to believe in themselves or to confront their fears head-on. I know that this is what plagues them because any rational person knows that no human being can totally predict your future. If someone could, they would be the ultimate creator themselves, infinite and not living here amongst the rest of us. Somewhere they have lost their recognition of their own strength or are just needing some loving support.
A predictable life serves no purpose. There are actions and reactions. These consequences, each of us has the capacity to foresee. As intelligent beings, no matter what our circumstances are, we always have choices and free will. No psychic can know exactly what you will do at a future time. The common denominator here is that the person questioning the psychic is the active creator of their life. Not the psychic. A psychic can predict what they may do. They can warn them. Or, they can encourage them.
Of course, many people come to ask the psychic about feedback regarding everything that is not in their control. A psychic can read their situation and make a wise estimation of the rules of nature and the universe to give them ideas of what might happen, but they can’t tell them what will happen to them for sure.
It is said that we have soul contracts or aspirations that we come into this lifetime with. Like any intelligent being, we have general “hopes” for ourselves. Exactly how the game of life will play itself out is constantly in creation, each time we act. A highly spiritual person, a psychic, or an intuitive helps you connect with your higher wisdom and ability to control your actions, that part of yourself that sees beyond the day- to- day. A psychic or intuitive is someone who helps you detect and avert obstacles on your path and empowers you to reach for a meaningful life and fulfilled dreams. Ultimately, a psychic brings awareness to their present reality and reminds people of what they do control and their own power to stop, influence, and create their own future.
