We often try to fix negative states by addressing external or material things. But we and this world are built of an energy force that goes beyond matter. This energy force is categorized and explained by many cultural, spiritual and scientific theories. You may have heard of chi, prana, life-force or universal energy. This energy source flows through everything in the universe and different parts of our body.
In the ancient Vedic texts, they say it flows through your chakras. These chakras are concentrated areas, overlapping the endocrine system, where energy builds up strongly for certain purposes. Seven vital energy centers run from the base of the spine to the top of the head, centered on the spinal column. This flow or lack of flow of energy manifests itself as either aliveness or pain and disease. Energy medicine forms, such as acupuncture, use needles, human touch, and/or devices to manipulate your energy field to treat physiological and emotional imbalances. We interact with other environmental energies through a variety of means including light, sound, touch, and breath and these interactions can either enhance or suppress our immune system. There are several modalities that you can use to rebalance your body energies like acupuncture, massage, Reiki, Tai Chi, Kinesiology and more.
But you can also address your internal energy and how it interacts with external energy on your own through enhanced awareness and simple exercises. Clear negative energy from your body, heart, mind and physical space on a routine basis. There is no one way to clear negative energy and you should do what resonates most with you. Be creative. Just choose methods that match your beliefs, culture, comfort and most important that you enjoy. You can exercise, dance, do yoga, or walk to clear your energy and get rid of stagnant, negative energies. You can use all of the senses to clarify your energy.
Sound energy clearing involves raising the energetic vibration through sound. Traditional methods include techniques like drums, bells, singing bowls, and clapping. You can also use singing and chanting. Personally, I love to start my meditation with Tibetan singing bowls because of their unique piercing sound.
Water has been used for centuries from baptisms to ritual baths and today in modern- day spas. There’s nothing quite like time spent in water to calm your mind and soul. For extra cleansing, try a bath in Epsom salts for a serious and relaxing cleanse after a long day.
Smell therapies are profound mechanisms for clearing space which is why essential oil diffusers have become all the rave. Personally I love to use organic peppermint oil to relax the mood gently and energize my spirit. You can also burn your favorite incense or burn some sage, but if you don’t like to burn, I suggest this beautiful sage smudge spray, that travels anywhere. To set the ambiance before sleeping, I use a pink Himalayan salt lamp in all my home’s bedrooms. My son loves it as well in his room. One year, I gave them as a holiday gift to all my closest friends, and everyone loved it.
Any clean freak knows that organizing your space makes you feel invincible. Make it a habit to tidy up your room, workspace or desk, and feel immediate ease. It doesn’t matter how crazy the world is if you have a tidy space it just gives you a good feeling inside. Some people and cultures have become masters at the art of organizing for energy’s sake. Come, Feng Shui. If you want to master this ancient art form try reading a good Feng Shui book or just lighten up with an informative episode of Tidying Up with Marie Kondo on Netflix. It’s amazing how much you can learn with even just one episode. I just found out she has a book too that’s a number one bestseller, just ordered my copy on Amazon!
Don’t forget the number one energy cleanser in your arsenal, meditation! Visual meditation, deep breath meditation or any other form helps you come in tune with your own energy and energy that is not yours. If you want some company, nature, animals and loved ones provide positive energy. Spend some time in a forest, at the beach, or cuddling with someone or something you love; You’ll automatically feel your energy flow better and your stamina vibrate.
